Jim Heath was among those featured in the June 2006 National Geographic article entitled "Nanotechnology" which discussed the history, current applications and research projects currently underway for nanotechnology.  Heath's research on the development of nanoscale sensors for detecting and diagnosing cancer was discussed and highlighted.
